Top of the bulletin
A weekly digest built for people who still read the noticeboard
Most news travels too fast to be useful. The TDC Bulletin slows that down. Every edition collects the handful of things that actually affect a street: roadworks and detours, changes at the library, a new market stall, a school fundraiser, a club looking for members.
We keep the format deliberately plain. Short items, clear headings, no autoplay video and no endless feed. If you only have five minutes with a cup of tea, that should be enough to know what is happening around you.
Readers send in most of what appears here. That is the point: the bulletin works as a shared notebook rather than a newsroom. Send a note, a date, a photograph of a poster, or a correction, and it goes into the next round-up.
Notices
Resurfacing schedule shifts east
Work on the eastern stretch starts earlier than planned. Access for residents is kept open, but parking on the north side will be suspended while the top layer cures.
Community
Repair cafe back on Saturday
Bring a lamp, a kettle or a wobbly chair. Volunteers with tools and patience will be at the community hall from ten until two, and no booking is needed.
Everyday life
Why small notices still matter
A printed notice on a gate reaches the people who walk past it every day. We look at what gets pinned up, what gets ignored, and what quietly disappears.
